Diagnosing - Laptop Doesn't Respond to Power Button.

You press the power button on your laptop and nothing happens. You plug in the charger and still no response. You remove the battery, shake the laptop, try a different outlet, but nothing works.
From my experience as a service technician, I know this is how it usually goes. Then you come to the service center with an even bigger issue than the original one.
If your laptop doesn't respond to the power button, the cause may include:
- Power circuit damage (very common)
- KBC or firmware damage (rare)
- BIOS damage (common)
- Processor damage (common for 6th-10th gen)
- Bridge damage (rare)
- Power button damage (rare)
- Battery damage (very rare)
- Display cable damage (very rare)
- Damaged USB port (very rare)
- Damaged charger (common)
What you can do at home:
- Test the laptop with a different working charger.
- Remove the battery, hold the power button for 30 seconds, release, connect charger, try to boot without battery.
If you connect a working charger and its light turns off, 99% of the time the motherboard has failed.
